Summary.
Dream Hotels & Resorts a hotel conglomerate has a member program where clients have properties they can visit at a reduced rate based on their membership level. The ask was to reimagine the existing member guide. Research dictated that the member base responded to tangible printed media more than digital media and thus a user friendly print guide was prototyped and distributed.
This is a unique case where UX best practices were employed to achieve success with a tangible printed product. Key design elements that the final product employed was a colour coded system to differentiate categories, as well as a fold out key that was visible no matter which page the user was on. This was a solution that was tried and tested, and introduced in such a way to be phased out and slowly encourage the member base to use the website more.
